“EMQN best practice guidelines for genetic testing in hereditary breast and ovarian cancer” endorsed by ERN GENTURIS

EMQN is honoured that ERN GENTURIS has decided to endorse our best practice guidelines: “EMQN best practice guidelines for genetic testing in hereditary breast and ovarian cancer (HBOC).”

ERN GENTURIS is the European Reference Network (ERN) for all patients with rare genetic tumour risk syndromes. A team of assessors, consisting of HBOC experts and an MD patient representative, were impressed by the quality of our guidelines and recommended them for use by ERN GENTURIS.

Our guidelines summarise HBOC cancer risk data from recent studies for the most commonly tested high and moderate risk genes. They provide practical recommendations for clinical referral, laboratory analyses, variant interpretation, and reporting for somatic and germline testing services.
